Overview

In Vietnam, the non-governmental organization (NGO) Orphans Overseas is deploying Intel-powered classmate PCs in orphanages across the country to connect the orphans with the world of possibilities outside their door. Children use the classmate PCs to connect with classrooms in the United States and other countries, learning about new cultures and making new friends. The project seeks to motivate Vietnamese orphans to pursue higher education and to build valuable ICT skills that will benefit them in the workforce as they grow.
